I was a judge for the SIB awards pre-Covid at the English Institute for Sport - a day before the crowds were lit in. We got a lot of cloudy beer. Each beer that was supposed to be cloudy was marked by a little sticker at the bottom of the glass.
At least 25% of the cloudy beers we were served - and remember this was a prestigious do apart from me and my mate - were not labelled as such.
And that is why I never drink cloudy (call it "unfiltered" if you like) beer.
We've "exchanged views" on this before I think Dave. My question challenge is - what if the cloudy beer tastes absolutely glorious?
Beer is Cloudy. Because it is brewed with "ingredients". Beer only becomes clear if you take out the things that gave it the flavour in the first place. But, as before, I hear you. Everyone drink what they want is my World View. Thanks for reading and interacting.
Absolutely Phil. I used to occasionally drink Worthington White Shield -sediment beer with residue - until they withdrew it.
We can all drink what we want no problem. The biggest problem I have nowadays is that I am getting on a bit (80 in August) and can't drink as much as a) I used to: and b) that restricts the variety I can taste.
Incidentally you don't have to take the ingredients out - only when it becomes "ready racked". Residual hops for example - are still there in the barrel.
But let us not discuss too long and enjoy the flavours.
I have a problem with changing seats @ cup matches. I don't walk too well - age again - and I need a seat near a vomitory exit for frequent urinary reasons. So a seat far up in the gods is of little use.
I shall get a ticket for Wembley hoping to be able to pass it on at Face Value. Are you likely to have mates in the CBF that would need a ticket?
