SUFC 2022/23 Game #38
The pre match drink was in;
The Pier Inn
8 St Anne's Rd W, Lytham FY8 1RF
just four miles down the road from Bloomfield Road. Thich was just the perfect place to start the day.
"Why was that Phil? Did they have some banging 6% Keg IPAs on?"
"No"
“Why then Phil? Did they have a few Hoppy 3.8 percenters on Cask to go at?"
"No"
"Why was this place in St Anne's so perfect though Phil?"
"Because that's effectively where McAtee started that fucking run for the second goal!!!"
AmIRight? It might not always come across, but I fucking enjoy going to United games. For a variety of reasons. The enjoyment in this one was the moments.
I mean, the defender's slip helps. A. Lot. As did the try and fucking keep up with him runs down the middle and right by Iliman, Sander & Billy. They draw the attention of defenders & the keeper. Norwood was in fourth in the chase. But, he calls it wrong. As McAtee bombs on the left, Norwood points wide right (and presumably shouts). No chance of McAtee hearing that. All he could hear was me on Row D.
"Fucking Go On"
Nice finish an' all. Moments.
My Carrier Bag Firm companion on the night has a theory. We won't start Bogle and Lowe in the same eleven. (Side note - thinking of you at this time as well Rhys). His theory is those two together as starters are "too attacking". And Jayden helped in one of the moments. Wrestling the ball free, feeding Iliman inside, he feeds TBN, who slots it home nicely. From Row D Berge looked a lot further out than he was. Just glimpses (FFS, I thought we were going with MOMENTS Phil) of Berge getting back to his best. Gliiiiiiding around. Great night.
Where were we? Oh yes. The Pier Inn. Six on Cask.
Goffs Brewery (Gloucestershire), Cheltenham Gold on Cask at 4.5%
American Hopped. And, fair do, tasted packed with Hops. Coming through as woody and nutty. Not all that bitter. But, rich and luxurious. A tad anesthetic. Lovely.
I've written before about my "personality type" and counting & ticking & chronicling. I'm basically living on Apps. That beer was the 2,609th different beer I've checked in on Untappd. This Blog begins by recording the Blackpool game as my 38th SUFC game of the season. At the bottom of this Blog, you'll see it's my 1,191st game in 3,054 days. In the health section, you'll see my BMI (recorded on Samsung Health) & Alcohol Units (recorded on AlcoDroid). As we come to the year end, I average 10,296 steps per day (Samsung Health again).
And, as every Blog entry is really just - Look at Me, Me, Me. I've also posted my Futbology Stats for 2022. The Apps have taken over.
The Hypochondria
My name is Phil, I'm a Type II Diabetic. My BMI is 24.5. I have had no unnecessary choccies, biccies, sweeties or ice cream since my last Blog.
I average TEN units of alcohol per week over the past 7 days.
And, my 30 day average units of alcohol is NINE per week.

I’ve really enjoyed sampling the tasty written morsels served up on a regular basis, like travelling and drinking by proxy without the cost.
Many thanks,
