Hallam Win 5-3 on Penalties
Hallam 3 v Swallownest 3
Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup Second Round
Tuesday 22 October 2024
The last Blog left the Carrier Bag Firm in The Itchy Pig in Broomhill after the first leg of a Tuesday Double Header at the Notts County Academy. So, it only seems sensible for readers to again join this Blog in The Itchy Pig before the second leg.
NorthDown Brewery (Margate), Squidly Diddly, Hazy IPA on Cask at 5.8%
A superb big hitting hazy Cask. Galaxy and Citra. A bit of muesli before a long soften out.
Hallam seem in a bit of a funk at the moment. One win, two draws and two defeats across October before this one. Which they got over the line on Penalties. Lots of petulant posturing on the bench.
Two nil up by 30 minutes. But pinned back to two all by 50 minutes. Hallam pushed on again three two on 65. But, it was all level again just after. Overall, it felt a bit sloppy from Hallam. There's obvs shit happening behind the scenes as well.
A good bit of player churn. Alright, bodies are being fetched in. But since this game, Chris Salt has gone due to “internal misconducts”. And Iren Wilson has decided to try for a challenge elsewhere … again.
Hugo Warhurst saved the first Swallownest pen. And the rest went to plan. To end the night on a high.
